About Me

Three Sisters Cupcake Company was created in 2008 and named for my three daughters at the time, Alexandra, Sophia & Ava. Isabella, born in 2009, is my new constant companion in the kitchen and first witness to every cupcake out of the oven. I only use home made batters and icing. My menu is an example of my favorite creations, but I also take custom orders. Thank you for visiting my blog; here is where I will keep you updated on new flavors and events.

Tiramisu Cupcake

For my brother's 32nd birthday he requested a cupcake modeled after his favorite dessert Tiramisu. And as I've said before I love a challenge and I LOVE tiramisu! So I got to work. I decided to soak a cinnamon cupcake with Kahlua and coffee and fill with the most delicious mascarpone cream. I finished it off with a whipped topping and the traditional dusting of cocoa. Now I know there usually isn't any cinnamon in a traditional tiramisu but I needed a cake sturdy enough to hold the liquid and not get washed away in the paper. It all came together rather nicely! My brother was very happy! Check out the pictures!

We are pleased to add a few new delights to our menu!
It's rare these days that I have a chance to play around in the kitchen and try new ideas. I have so many flavor ideas I want to try! I love when I get an opportunity to experiment. I am fortunate too that I always have tasters ready and waiting! I do so appreciate the feedback!

Banana Split - strawberry preserve filled banana cupcake with hot fudge, vanilla buttercream sprinkles and a cherry on top. Is your mouth watering yet? This cupcake tastes just like a traditional banana split! Yum!

Apple Theme Bridal Shower

What could be more fun than an apple theme bridal shower in July?
We did red velvet and vanilla cupcakes dressed as apples and an apple cupcake dipped three times in thick homemade caramel. I was so pleased with the outcome and they looked so pretty set up on the tower.

Little Miss Sunshine

I was asked to do cupcake favors for an 8 year old birthday party. They came out so cute I had to post pictures. So a very Happy Birthday Tabitha, a sweet little bit of sunshine!

Cupcake Class

The end of the school year holds endless possibilities. Concerts, recitals, pool parties, class parties etc. Anything you can think of. I had the absolute pleasure of visiting 2 fifth grade classes to teach the kids to ice a cupcake. I have to be honest, I was apprehensive. Ten and eleven year olds can be tough! I thought how will I capture the attention of this class long enough to show them the way to hold the tip bag, squeeze the icing. Kids are restless at the end of the school year, but not these kids. The kids in Mrs. Hunter's and Mrs. Berman's classes were a pure joy. They sat quietly and attentively with an eagerness to learn. With the help of Mrs. Berman I passed out tip bags to each child filled with a different color icing. Each child was given a mini red velvet cupcake to create using their imagination. The cupcakes exceeded my expectations. I was thrilled watching them giggle and share colors and ideas. After the decorating was done the class moms passed around cups of cold iced tea. In celebration of Mrs. Hunter's birthday the classes shared their third cup of tea making them a family. They went around the room and each of the 45 children had an opportunity to share their feelings about their classmates and the year. There was so much love in this room, a fifth grade classroom on the last full day of school. They thanked me for coming and teaching them, but it was me who needed to thank them! I was so elated, I skipped to my car! What a great way to start off the summer!

Here are some of the fabulous creations!
Enjoy!
